My name is Divy (Seta Cane Lamb Zee Divy). I was the second oldest Havanese to come to Meme Zee's. I celebrated by 15th birthday in
September and to the grief of my family, I crossed the Rainbow bridge in November. It was a very sad time.

During the 15 years of my life, I put titles at both ends of my name. Championship titles at the beginning of my name have came from the American Kennel Club, the Havanese Club of America and the World Wide Kennel Club. Titles are at the end of my name included a CD (companion dog). This is an obedience title and is the first level of obedience. I earned a CD from AKC and World Wide Kennel Club.  One of my owners and I could have worked harder to get the two CD titles. We both took the same approach to test taking - cram at the last minute and insist upon lots of treats. Our scores reflect that this approach doesn't work too well in obedience competition. But as they say in the obedience world, "a leg is a leg is a leg." A leg is earned when one scores at least 170 points out of 200 in any given show. It takes 3 legs to earn a title. That doesn't sound like much but there are lots of things that can or cannot happen when one is competing in obedience. Meme took over the training for the CDX and my scores were quite a bit better. (She was more stingy with the treats and we had to practice every day.) I did very well with most of the exercises in Open but the exercise that required me to sit and stay in one position for 3 minutes with 12 other dogs was a frequent disaster for me. I just got so bored sitting there looking at my nails  (you are not allowed a nail file in the show ring) and sometimes, I would just sort of fall over before the 3 minutes had passed.  People all said, they thought it was just a cute white rug placed among all those sitting dogs. Meme failed to see the cute part. I did however have the honor of being the "High Obedience Scoring Dog" for the Havanese club of America in 2003.I have also earned 4 titles in Rally. This is a combination of exercises that I call "relaxed obedience". Real obedience is like going to church and Rally like going to Sunday school. I have completed the highest title in Rally (RAE).  My youngest daughter Lahtee is competing in Rally. My other 2 titles CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and TD (Therapy Dog) were earned when I was able to demonstrate my ability to interact safely with all types of people and behave myself around other dogs. The therapy dog title enables me to go into hospitals, nursing homes and schools. I became qualified to be a be a reading dog for the first graders in our town. They loved to read to a dog and I loved kids.

I also had several children. . They also have titles in obedience, rally and agility. One of my babies is in Ft. Wayne and he earned his MACH title in agility. This is the highest earned title in that venue.
