My call name is Baby. Registered name is, HCA WWKC CH Margarita de Destiny, R.O.M. CGC TD. The initials in front of my name mean I have titles of beauty. The one at the end of my name (the ROM) means the most to me because I worked the hardest to earn it. It means that I have a title of record for having had at least 3 of my babies who are also champions of beauty. Their daddy was Brody, the number 1 Havanese in the country at one time. Sadly, he passed away just recently. We sure had nice kids. I didn't have to work too hard to get the CGC title. That is a Canine Good Citizen title and it means I have passed the requirements necessary to demonstrate I would never hurt anyone. The TD is a Therapy Dog title and that was fairly difficult. I had to stand next to a fence where kids were playing and throwing a ball and themselves at the fence. I wasn't allowed to show any fear that I might be hurt. I also had to walk around and next to handicapped people who were using wheelchairs, walkers and crutches. They also talked loud and yelled at me. Again, I had to be calm even though I was shaking in my paws because I didn't know these people and they were a whole lot bigger than me. The other thing I had to do was ignore a big piece of salami on the floor just a foot away from me. It looked and smelled mighty tasty but I just pretended I didn't see it. Having this certification allows me now to go to our local schools and have the first graders read to me. I am so excited because I just love kids. I will do that a couple of days a week. The rest of the time I just work at getting anything I want. Generally I don't have to do anything to earn it. I've trained my owners fairly well. I do have to do a little bit of obedience before I get a treat but its not a big deal. I did over hear something said to the effect that no money would be spent on entering me in obedience trials until I could learn to sit instead of lie down each time we stop. It seems logical to me that one should always lay down if given the opportunity. I do like agility pretty well (especially the treats) I was getting liver treats for encouragement to do the jumps, but one day we all realized that the jumps had to be lower and lower because I had gotten too fat to go over them. I had to go on a perfectly wretched diet and even though I put out pleas to send food, no one ever did.
I have been a mother twice in my life so far, and I have eleven beautiful children. Loo (at the far right below, Izzy, in the middle below and Zorro (not pictured yet) are the beauty champions I mentioned earlier. The black and white dog below is Henry. He lives in Colorado and "has to winter in Arizona" poor little guy)
